L8r QT! Text 4 a good time!

We have decided that we are WAY over-paying for our cell phones. Last month I only used about 1/2 of my minutes. So in an effort to save some $$$ and be a little more "phone-bill-efficient" we have cut my minutes from 1000 to 450 but I now have unlimited texting. So text me or wait to call till 7pm please! SideNote: Josh's plan is still the same...unlimited calls, unlimited texts.

Home Sweet Home

After a great trip to Washington we are finally home. We had so much fun in the Northwest but no matter how much fun you have on vacation, there is something to be said for sleeping in your own bed.

Coleman took his first few steps in Washington! The countdown is on until the "real walking" starts!
(we are excited now, ask us again in a month!)

Birch Bay

Before we left Washington we wanted to take Manny to the ocean. Last time we were in Washington, it was February and WAY too cold and Coleman was too young. Going to Birch Bay was DEFINITELY on our "To-Do List"
At first, Coleman wasn't too sure about the water. But eventually he relaxed and put his feet down.

Tennant Lake

Josh and I have been together for almost 4 1/2 years now and have made several trips to Washington. Josh hadn't seen any of the major sights of Ferndale, so I figured this trip would be the perfect opportunity... and after passing the Dairy Queen, the only step left was Tennant Lake. Tennant Lake- covered in Lily Pads

Most people who frequent Tennant Lake are 3rd graders on their class field trips. We were able to have lunch and spend some quiet time together.
Coleman loves french fries!

When in Rome...

When visiting the Pacific Northwest... Birkenstocks are a must-wear!

Visiting the Ferndale 3rd Ward

The Keil Family
(post church bench accident)
During church Coleman started playing with an older man sitting behind us. He found his way back to him and the old guy tried to pick him up. However, Coleman is squirmy and was wearing a silk vest... yep, he dropped him and he hit his head. You could tell the older man felt awful! I took him out to the hall and within 15 seconds he was over it. He went right back to the old guy and gave him a high 5... what a good sport!

BYU @ UW

Saturday was a VERY busy day for us! Kick off was at noon so we had plenty of time to tail-gate! Josh's uncle Alan and his friend Chris were our tour guides for the day. They were so good to us. Alan grilled steaks the size of my arm and Chris showed us around Husky Stadium.

Chris is a GREAT tour guide and a HUGE Husky fan... His house is Purple with Gold trim! I told Josh, "Don't even think about it!"

We really enjoyed the game. I told Josh that this was probably the most exciting game that I have ever seen in person (I missed the last 2 BYU v. Utah games).

BYU won 28 to 27 thanks to a blocked kick, as a result of a penalty from Jake Locker celebrating. I don't care what ESPN commentators say, HE DID THROW THE BALL HIGH IN THE AIR AND IT WAS THE RIGHT CALL!

NCAA Rule 9-2-1-2:
At the end of the play the player must drop the ball where the play ends or hand it back to an official. Anything else results in a penalty including... c. throwing the ball high into the air.
Jake tossed it at least 20 feet above his head but to be fair the replay made it look like he barely through it over his shoulder.
Special Thanks to Josh's cousin, Ashley, for watching Coleman so we could go and REALLY enjoy the game!

Our Flight to Seattle

BYU played the University of Washington at UW on Saturday, Sept. 6th. We decided to head up for the game and it gave up a great chance to see the James side of the family. We were a little nervous about the flight but Coleman did really well... the way home? Not so good!

The BYU Cheerleaders happened to be on our same flight. Coleman crawled over and quickly made friends and I think he may have even got a few numbers!

Josh and Manny enjoying the flight.
Coleman tried to stay busy. We read books, ate Cheerios, and played with a few toys. Thank goodness it was only an hour and a half flight!
