I thought that since we made it to the end of February, we might make it all the way through winter without Coleman getting sick again... WRONG! Yesterday I thought he was teething (and I am still praying that it all it is) because he has a runny nose and watery eyes and was plain miserable! But this morning I woke up with a sore throat and a stuffy nose and Coleman seems to be just as miserable as before. This means we are on HIGH-ALERT for the next 24-48 hours! Last October, Coleman had a Febrile Seizure due to a fever that escalated too high too quickly. His pediatrician says that he has a good chance of repeat seizures if he get sick and has a fever again. In order to prevent this, we are giving him medicine EVERY 3 hours (alternating IBProfen and Tylenol) and we are under quarentine... no one is coming in and no one is going out! We are hermits for the next few days. If you haven't heard from us by this time next week, send help! I am sure he is going to be fine and I am praying that it is just teething but better safe than sorry right?!?

100th POST!
I would like to thank everyone who made this possible.
My sister, Janae, who introduced me to the wonderful world of blogging... then promptly stopped blogging, herself.
My friend, Angela, who convinced me early on that my blog was JV and I needed to step it up and make it better.
My wonderful friends, you know who you are (but mainly you are my other sister, Mandy), who comment on my posts and actually make me think my daily-life is entertaining.
My husband, Joshua, for not getting angry when I spend hours blogging instead of being an active and productive wife, mother, and homemaker.
And last but not certainly least,
My son, Coleman, who is my blogging inspiration and the focus of posts 99% of the time! Thank you for sitting still and saying cheese so that I can have something to put on my blog.
I'd also like to thank the academy...
My Phone Can Beat Up Your Phone
Josh and his parents decided to SURPRISE me with an early birthday present! Even though my birthday isn't until the end of March (be sure to send flowers and well-wishes) the Keil's noticed how DESPERATELY I needed a new phone and decided not to wait! YEAH!

The new Blackberry 8350i
This phone is amazing! Josh picked it out so he keeps telling about all the features and gadgets it has... but honestly, here's what I REALLY know about it:
It's a BLACKBERRY- great for keeping my schedule organized
It has Direct-Connect (walky-talky capability)
It has SUDOKU (which I suck at and will probably NEVER beat!)
There are a TON of applications that will probably take me till my next birthday to figure out!
It actually holds a charge (my old phone had to be charging whenever I used it)
It's REALLY SHINY!
Thanks Keils, I love it!

Coleman's Special Valentine
Coleman's Great-Grandma Davis sent him a little Valentine to let him know she was thinking of him. He loved it! Thanks, Fern!
I don't know what he'll spend all his $$$ on, but I know he's excited about it!
My Funny Valentine
Let me preface this by saying 2 things, 1.) I am married to a Man-Child who still loves to play video games and asks me frequently (despite how many times I have said no in the past) to play with him. And 2.) Josh and I don't see eye-to-eye on what classifies as a great gift. Case in point: Our first Christmas we were married. Josh had told me for weeks that he had the perfect gift for me, and how much I would LOVE it, and how he couldn't wait to see me open it on Christmas morning. So imagine my surprise when I opened... an electric can opener? What?
Including: PONG, Astroids, Wall Breaker, Centipede and more!
Josh and I really don't celebrate Valentine's Day with anything too lavish. IF we go out to dinner we usually go the night before to avoid the rush and usually our gift exchange is simple if not non-existent. But this year, I have to admit... Josh was a AMAZING! He surprised me with:
ATARI Classics 10 classic games
And they say he isn't romantic!
Love you Josh Keil!

Story Time with Dad
Josh and Coleman enjoyed a little Father-Son time reading books. I didn't pay much attention (after all, I've read those books to Coleman a thousand times!) but then I heard Josh "ad-lib" a few lines.
It went something like this:
It went something like this:
"See all the freight cars, the caboose is last... (pointing to the trains cars) this is oil. That's what we are fighting the war in Iraq over. We are trading oil for blood."
"Here is the train engine, puffing smoke... Coleman, don't you ever puff smoke!"
So many life-lessons for a 1-year-old to learn in one night!

Coleman was HERE
It's NEVER good when little boys are quiet!
I was upstairs taking a shower and Josh was "watching" Coleman downstairs. In the 30 seconds it took Josh to take the dirty diaper to the trash... well,
Baby Wipes EVERYWHERE!

Preston's Baby Blessing
This weekend we headed down south for our nephew's baby blessing. We love visiting my sister, Janae, and her family.
The blessed child: Preston (2 months old)
We also got to see:
Hallie (5 years old)
(2 years old)
This was Grandpa James' first time meeting Preston. Preston thought Grandpa was really funny...
...And Preston got in plenty of snuggle time with Grandma "Blue Eyes"
Coleman played with his cousins.
...And read books with Grandma...

...But mainly, we watched Kung Fu Panda (a new family favorite and sure to be a Classic)
Then came Sunday... and it was time for church.
The Packard Family
The Packard Family
(We tried to get a James family photo, but it didn't work out)
Thanks for having us, Packards! Coleman loved playing with his cousins and we can't wait to see you again really soon. WE LOVE YOU!
