A Very Special View

After Josh's sister's wedding, Josh and I decided to trespass on his Grandparents old property to get a photo of the Manti temple from their backyard. Josh and his siblings spent many a summer in this backyard looking at the temple. I'm glad we did it.

When you care enough, you make it yourself

Coleman's Aunt Mandy made him this blanket. He loves it.
He's like a little old man, constantly covered with his afghan.

Thanks Mandy!

Family Night- with a Special Lady

My Grandma Coleman is in town visiting family. So last night MY Coleman and I sprung her from her sisters for a little fun. We went to Nelson's Grove in Orem to feed the ducks and sit and visit.

Coleman tossing his bread out to the ducks:

I really wish this picture had turned out better but I still love it.

Grandma Coleman
aka. Grandma Great

After we fed the ducks we headed over to Arctic Circle for an icecream.

And eventually we ended up at Rob's house and played with cousins.

Love you Grandma Great. Thanks for spending time with us!

Hair Today... Gone Tomorrow

I've been growing my hair out for the past 3 years to donate it to LOCKS OF LOVE. When it was finally love enough to donate, I decided I would keep it a little while longer (my hair hadn't EVER been that long). But I finally decided it was time and today
I cut
19 INCHES
off

and will be mailing it tomorrow.
Here's hoping it contributes to a great wig for a kid who needs it! <3

Day 10:

Desperate to get EVERY. LAST. MINUTE. of fun, we took a morning swim before packing up and leaving St. George.

....and then we hit the road.

4 hours later, we made it home
and I found that my garden had been thriving while we were gone. ZUCCHINI!

We all definitely had a case of "post-vacation-blues"

But really, as long as I get to see this sweet, squishy face...

...I don't care where we are!

Day 9

Day 9 was our LAST DAY IN OCEANSIDE :(
We planned to take family photos before we packed up and left our piece of heaven.

We played for a little bit at the playground before heading to the ocean

I LOVE this picture... it cracks me up every time. I don't know what I like more, Josh and Jennie's expressions, Marilyn's pointing finger or Jessica laughing at the chaos. Welcome to the Family Jess!

After pictures, we went back to the condo, packed up and left Oceanside. We were NOT ready to leave... but all good things must come to an end, I suppose.

We packed the cars and headed to St. George for the night. Coleman slept most of the way.

We celebrated being in St. George and being out of the car with doughnuts. Coleman ate the frosting and was done :)
