Josh and I have been busy as proctor parents lately... and it's been really weird! I drove "S" to Plato's Closet to sell some of her clothes. She waved me in to the store and said, "They need an ID to buy my clothes and I don't have one, so I told them my mom was in the car." MY MOM?!? What? I am only 8 years old than "S". The weirdest part is that she said "my mom" like it was no big deal.
Part of being proctor parents includes welcoming different kids into our home. Over this past weeks, we have realized the need to have our "Home Rules" solidly established. Here are some of the rules we have so far:
You have 2 meal options: 1.) TAKE IT 2.) LEAVE IT I am not a short order cook
No Pets. Even pet rocks will be sent to "live on a farm"
If you are smoking, you'd better be on FIRE!
"S" has been with us for 2 weeks now. She is waiting to be transfered to a different program and will be living in our home until her new program has a room for her. She is great but keeps us busy. Apologies for our lack of blogging lately. I assure you we are alive and well.
