Cruisin' for a Bruisin'

Josh took Coleman to our backyard and to play with his buggy. Which by the way was probably the best $10 I have EVER spent at D.I. They had a great time.

Coleman loved it... until he tried to get out by himself and totally bit it! He started bleeding a little but it looked a lot worse because Josh kept smearing the blood when he was wiping Coleman's face. He now has an awesome "Goose Egg" on his forehead. Poor kid!

My brave boy! I have NO IDEA why Josh is smiling!

Elder Tyler Keil

Josh's "little" brother went into the MTC today. He has been Called to Serve in the Georgia-Macon Mission. We love him so much and are going to miss him like crazy!

Tyler with future missionary Coleman.
Before we went to the MTC the whole family got together for breakfast at IHOP. It turns out that Coleman loves pancakes!

Tag! I'm it!

OK, so I have to admit... I am usually TERRIBLE at following tags. But I thought I would give this one a try. Thanks Mrs. Lopez!
http://www.meand-myboys.blogspot.com/

6 Unusual facts/quirks about me:
1. I will ONLY by Costco chicken! It is such better meat. Trust me. Once you go there, you can NEVER go back.
2. When I drive my scooter my right eye ALWAYS tears up... but never my left one.
3. The hangers in my closet are color-coded. White= shirts Black=dresses/pants Which is really strange because I am NOT a neat person.
4. I do almost ALL my Christmas shopping in the summer. I like to have everything done by around Halloween. Josh is a landscaper so we usually have extra money is the summertime. I don't think that is quirky, I think that is smart!
5. I have recently re-discovered NKOTB (New Kids on the Block... Donnie is my FAVORITE). I was only 6 when they were popular but now I see what the fuss was all about! I am even going to their concert in November and plan to make a shirt that says (Donnie- I want to be your cover girl!)
6. When I drink water is has to be FULL of ice. Otherwise I don't like it. When we go to restaurants, I ask for water and an EXTRA cup of ice because they NEVER put enough in. And if I order a soda, I ask for water too (that trick I learned from my mother-in-law).

So there you go... I am a FREAK! I tag:

Feeding Ducks at Jamestown Square

Josh's grandparents have recently moved in to an Assisted Living Home for Senior Citizens.
There is a small pond out back FULL of ducks and fish. We went down to feed the ducks.

Grandma Davis gave Coleman bread to feed the ducks... and then was surprised when he immediately shoved it in his mouth! Has she ever met Coleman?

I thought FOR SURE this duck was going to eat Coleman! Way too close for my comfort!

Coleman had a front row seat to the duck show. Grandpa Davis never puts him down!

We had a great time and want to make this our weekly tradition.

... And for a little extra viewing pleasure:
Josh has AMAZING duck-feeding skills!

9 Months Old

Coleman Keil
9 Months Old
Weight-
19.03 lbs.=25%
Length-
28.25 inches=51%
Head Circ.-
18.3 inches=82%
The pediatrician said that everything looks great. He was a little concerned that Coleman dropped from the 50th percentile to the 25th in weight... but then he saw how active he is and said that everything was fine.
Coleman is a great baby. He is a BIG sleeper. He is now sleeping 12+ hours a night and naps for at least 2-3 hours a couple times a day! He will eat anything (especially loose change from the floor), loves to play and give high-fives! He now has 4 teeth (2 on top, 2 on bottom) and still no hair! He crawls everywhere and will walk along any walls or furniture... we are all counting down until he figures out that he doesn't need the walls. WE LOVE OUR BOY!

Our Messy Eater

Coleman enjoyed a delicious blend of Prunes and Cereal, a family favorite. He ALWAYS has a difficult time with prunes... they get everywhere!

After he was done he needed a good bath.During his bath something really funny happened...
He started modeling for me.
I said, "Coleman, give me playful!"
"Coleman, give me shy!" "Coleman, give me sexy!"
BEFORE

and AFTER We love our messy boy!

World's LARGEST Pacifier!

Apparently they call this a "Teething Pacifier." It has handles on the edges to gnaw on while your baby is teething. We are ALWAYS losing Coleman's soothers and are hoping that we will be able to keep track of this one... we should, it's the size of Texas! If he turns it the other way it covers his eyes and he can't see!
